Sometimes when my kid and I have a real moment of fun or connection together, I have a stab of guilt that, if the natural order unfolds, I will die before her. I just feel really bad about leaving her. I think this is what it must be like for so many parents.
I am doing what I can to make sure that doesn’t happen for a good few decades.
