As I wrote about on the second day of this blog, I am in a phase of my life where I am returning to the things I have always loved, but often didn’t prioritize. In making way for them to become priorities again, I feel myself returning to myself. It’s really beautiful.
One of the things writing this blog has made space for me to do is return to list-making. I have always been a list-maker. As a child living in sometimes chaotic conditions, lists were a sanctuary of peace and order. They were also a wonderful way to get to know myself as I was growing up. What were my preferences, aversions, ranked pet peeves?
For a while there, around the age of 12, I carried around a beautiful orange and yellow notebook where I collected all my lists. None of them were to-do in nature. That notebook is long gone. I want to recapture the fun of making those lists again.
So I’m doing that, here on this blog. Herewith is my list of lists, open for your perusal.
